Get ready for the Red Bull Illume unveiling week
Coveted Prize
All around the world, photographers are waiting in anticipation to find out if they will win the most coveted prize in adventure and action sports photography – the overall winner trophy of the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2021.
Selecting the winning images has been far from easy, with 41,447 submissions received this year. That’s why we entrusted a 53 strong panel of photo editors and industry experts from around the world.
For the sixth edition of the global contest, we will announce the winners during a week-long unveiling across Red Bull Illume’s platforms, bringing the experience to fans all over the world for the first time.
Online Unveiling
From November 29 we’ll be announcing the finalists and category winners daily, live on social media and on redbullillume.com.. The week culminates with the overall winner announced December 4, 2021 at an incredible venue in Aspen Snowmass, CO, USA.
A live feed will allow global audiences to follow the announcement for the first time and celebrate the greatest adventure and action sports photography around today.
It is also in Aspen Snowmass, that the Red Bull Illume Exhibit Tour officially kicks off, which sees the winning images exhibited around the globe.
Illuminating Imagery
Red Bull Illume is one of the jewels in zooom’s portfolio of events. It was founded in 2006 by zooom’s CEO Ulrich Grill, and is managed 100% by us. Everything, from the contest, media relations, custom-built digital platforms, the judging to the exhibit tour is all organized in-house.
The past decade has seen it grow to be recognized as the world-renowned event that it is today.
Not only does Red Bull Illume showcase the world’s most creative adventure and action sports images, more importantly it shines a light on the photographers behind the lens who capture the passion, lifestyle, and culture of the scene.
