The traditional Austrian company, PIEPS, has worked in cooperation with professional mountain guides, mountain rescuers, and scientists for over 40 years to produce and develop the world’s best avalanche equipment. In 2020, they decided to refresh the brand and needed an agency that is not only international, but also understands the alpine landscape. The fact that we have offices in the heart of the Austrian Alps, California and Tokyo, as well as a wealth of mountain experience resulted in a shared understanding of the brand’s goals.
On the Radar
The direction was clear - PIEPS was searching for a rebrand that felt synonymous with their technology. Our team strategized and redesigned everything from the brand colors to the brand house, as well as the logo. We brought PIEPS into a clean cut and high-tech space, incorporating flux lines into the new logo as a nod to the underlying technology behind avalanche transceivers. The fresh identity is the start of a new chapter for PIEPS, one that the brand will own proudly for the next 40 years of innovating lifesaving products. Check out our first project together here.
