Red Bull X-Alps 2025 – The dates are confirmed

The world’s toughest adventure race returns for another edition, with zooom leading the event and managing every little detail of this extraordinary hike-and-fly race. It takes a lot to organize, which means our team starts almost immediately after the previous edition, held in 2023, has ended. That’s why we are even more excited to announce the timings for Red Bull X-Alps 2025.
Applications are now open!
The Athletes Application is the first big milestone this year, running from July 1 to August 31, 2024, on redbullxalps.com. A rigorous selection process is then held before the line-up of approximately 30 athletes from all around the world is revealed on October 14, 2024.
Ulrich Grill, race co-founder says: “We are thrilled to announce that the Red Bull X-Alps adventure race is returning in 2025. The race last year was a special occasion, and we hope to build on the success of the 2023 edition. We also want to invite any athletes who think they are strong enough in body and mind to apply for the world’s toughest adventure race.”
Looking back on a successful race
The 2023 edition of Red Bull X-Alps was a record-breaking success. The 11th edition, which also marked the 20-year-anniversary of the race, started for the first time in the alpine area of Kitzbühel-Kirchberg, Austria. It was by far the fastest edition, with the Swiss veteran athlete Christian “Chrigel” Maurer reaching goal after covering more than 1,200 kilometers in an astonishing 6 days, 6 hours and one minute.
Creating a new and improved website
With multiple teams at zooom involved, we migrated the Red Bull X-Alps website into the Red Bull eco-system, now sharing the same CMS and tools as redbull.com. This enables all Red Bull markets to access, translate, and publish content directly from redbullxalps.com, greatly increasing the reach of the event. The new site, designed in collaboration with Red Bull, follows their "Cosmos" design system and incorporates unique Red Bull X-Alps features.
In addition to creating the design, implementing the website and preparing the automated migration of dozens of news articles, the newsletter system has also been ported into their ecosystem, leveraging the benefits for the end user of having a single login for all needs in the World of Red Bull.
